Image Number Four: Fast Shutter Speed Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action? The shutter speed I used to freeze the action was 5.6. What ISO and WB settings did you use? The ISO I used was 3200 and the WB setting I used was fluorescent. What action did you freeze? (Describe). The action that I froze was blocking the ping-pong balls being thrown towards the center. What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? I was near three feet away from the scene and I took the picture from a low point a view while at an angle to the right. Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, repetition, contrast...) Repetition and shape can be seen in the picture in the multiple ping-pong balls in a similar pattern and the same shape.
Image Number One: Low Shutter Speed Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action? The shutter speed I used to blur the action was 22. What ISO and WB settings did you use? The ISO setting I used was 100 and the WB setting I used was shade. What motion, or part of the image shows blur? (Describe). In the picture, Sam is moving from the left of the stairs quickly and running up the stairs. Her quick movement in her body shows blur from where she first started. What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? I was standing in the doorway of the stairs, around 5 feet away, and shot the picture from eye level. Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, repetition, contrast... The rule of thirds is shown in this photo because she is off to the left of the picture and is not perfectly centered.

painting with lights
Describe one of your photos from painting with light. Photo 1 was created by lights connected by a string being moved in a fast circular motion. What shutter speed did you have the camera on? The shutter speed used was 8 to 10 seconds. What light source did you use to create the painting? A blue light stick was placed in front of the room to create the blue background. The golden lights were created by a cord of lights. How did you achieve the image/effect? The effect was achieved by moving the cord of lights in a fast circular motion repeatedly.
